RAF Northolt Night Photo Shoot XXI ~ 6th October 2016

Apart from hand-holding and just to make things more interesting, I was using Manual Focus as well. The 21st (and I've been to all of them) Night Photoshoot and all the aircraft invited and promised actually turned up. The 47Sqdn Hercules, which had apparently had a bird strike during the day while it was flying around, was making probably its last public appearance as it has apparently been sold and also making a last appearance was the 27Sqdn Chinook with its Jumbo Anniversary marking which by now have been removed. The Regimental Band of the Royal Air Force, based at RAF Northolt, took advantage of the event to stage a photoshoot for themselves. A rare visitor to the UK shores was the PC-6 of the ALAT Armée de Terre based at Montauban in southern France. Many thanks to Phil and the team and the authorities at RAF Northolt and all the visiting aircrews without whom these events would not be possible. In the order they were taken.
